Reclaimed Chestnut Blanket Chest

The reclaimed chestnut for this piece came from an old dismantled barn. The patina of this aged wood is unmatched by fresh lumber. Wenge “Dutchmen” are used to repair natural defects in the wood but also serve a decorative function. The base is purple heart.
